Yard Operator – Albury
We are seeking a practical, hands-on Yard Operator to join our Albury team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and is committed to delivering great customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers safely and efficiently
- Grade, sort, and manage metals to meet operational and quality standards
- Maintain site compliance with environmental and OH&S requirements
- Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
- Operate plant equipment including material handlers, forklifts, loaders, and excavators (where licensed)
About You
- Experienced forklift operator (license essential)
- Experience operating excavators, loaders, skid steers, or similar plant (advantageous)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Hands-on, flexible, and adaptable approach to work
- Reliable with strong attention to detail and attendance
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Experience in non-ferrous buying (desirable but not essential)
