Yard Operator – Albury

We are seeking a practical, hands-on Yard Operator to join our Albury team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and is committed to delivering great customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers safely and efficiently
  • Grade, sort, and manage metals to meet operational and quality standards
  • Maintain site compliance with environmental and OH&S requirements
  • Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
  • Operate plant equipment including material handlers, forklifts, loaders, and excavators (where licensed)

 

About You

  • Experienced forklift operator (license essential)
  • Experience operating excavators, loaders, skid steers, or similar plant (advantageous)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Hands-on, flexible, and adaptable approach to work
  • Reliable with strong attention to detail and attendance
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Experience in non-ferrous buying (desirable but not essential)
