Responsible for leading employees and contingent workers in the assigned department with the processing of materials according to established policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, and customer requirements while ensuring maximum value is obtained.

  • Maintain positive employee relations, help encourage a team atmosphere and ensure all employees and contingent workers are treated fairly and equitably.
  • Provide appropriate guidance, assistance, and training to employees and contingent workers and ensure they are working efficiently and diligently to provide cost-competitive service to clients.
  • Assist with communicating and attaining established production goals while maintaining highest standards of quality.
  • Help create, maintain, and/or distribute required reports.
  • Help ensure availability of required tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist with completing required physical inventories according to established accuracy goals.
  • Help ensure that contractors, freight companies, and service providers comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Help ensure effective use of Company systems to ensure accuracy of production process.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, safety issues, errors, or other problems immediately to appropriate management personnel.
  • Assist with tracking performance data to ensure that customer contract requirements are being achieved in accordance with the Statement of Work; assist with reporting to Service Delivery and/or Sales any performance variations and corrective action plan within 24 hours of discovery.
  • Conduct Huddle Board meetings as required.
  • Participate in relevant training as required.
  • Where applicable, operate mobile plant equipment and train as necessary.
  • Responsible for training/mentoring the employees and contingent workers.
  • Assists the Operations Assistant Supervisor when needed.
  • Backup for Assistant Supervisor as needed
  • Assist in the scheduling and coordination of all incoming/outgoing loads.
  • Ensure material is systematically stored in appropriate receiving, quarantine, and finished goods areas.
  • Perform inventory audits as needed.
  • Responsible for tracking employee and contingent workers productivity, quality, and performance at multiple workstations
  • Responsible for training new temps and sign off on training within two weeks.
  • Ensure new temps have read and signed off on all SOP's
  •  
  • Ability to comprehend and execute SOP’s and SWP’s.   Routinely audit SOP’s, SWP’s and other documents to ensure they are being followed by employees and up to date.
  • Work with management on performance and attendance issues
  • Escalate unresolved issues to management immediately
  • Submit request for Vadis access to management
  • Teach employees how to solve minor issues
  • Drive production.   Keep employee and contingent workers on track and assign task based on production needs.   When slow in area work with management to find work in other departments
  • Resolve / Troubleshoot audit issues
  • Focused on Quality.  
  • Ensure all employees are adhering to ESD requirements
  • Ensure all QC Checks are completed prior to shipping racks
  • Ensure all receiving and shipping paperwork is verified for accuracy.   Escalate all discrepancies and variances to management immediately.
  • Setup next shift for Success
  • Other duties as assigned.
