Job Summary:

To ensure the effective operation of the weighbridge through the processing of documentation in a safe and efficient manner in line with company requirements, customer service principles and relevant regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide high levels of customer service to all internal and external customers in line with company requirements by ensuring customers are received and attended to in a timely manner, aware of site rules and concerns are resolved or escalated to the appropriate person
  • Ensure the efficient and accurate payment of vendor accounts by both cash and checks in line with company requirements
  • Update and maintain accurate financial records in line company requirements through the completion of cash reconciliations, and the escalation of any irregularities in a timely manner
  • Ensure any material entering the yard confirms to company requirements by grading materials with the support of the Yard Manager, answering general ferrous and non ferrous pricing enquiries, and rejecting non-conforming product
  • Complete all relevant documentation for incoming and outgoing materials, and any associated data entry and processing in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with company requirements
  • Demonstrate personal responsibility for all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Support diversity and inclusion, positive employee relations, and team environment
  • Support measures designed to effectively manage costs and adherence to budgetary requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures and initiatives relevant to the job
  • Support training and performance management initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, advanced diploma or level 4 award, certificate or diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience on a weighbridge / scale in an industrial environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
  • Previous experience in a customer facing, cashing handling role
  • Experience in recycling industry, preferred

Skills:

 

  • Cash handling and cash management experience
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and mathematical skills.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
