JOB DESCRIPTION:

Do you like working on cars? We have an excellent opportunity to work in our Auto Depollution department

The Auto Depollution Station team member is responsible for the safe depollution of end of life (ELV) vehicles in preparation for shredding. Team member will be trained in the receiving, inspection, stockpiling, processing, crushing, and loading of vehicles. Each team member within the department is responsible for their safety and the safety of others. They are required to follow all policies and procedures to ensure safety and environmental compliance.

  • Ensure all safety programs for the auto depollution station are being adhered to.
  • All employees should be following the safety program.
  • Look for safety improvements, recommend and implement as needed
  • Ensure environmental policies relating to the auto depollution station are being followed.
  • Verify tank labeling is correct and current
  • Do not cross contaminant liquids
  • Ensure proper housekeeping is being maintained
  • Utilize front-end loaders to move ELV’s within the department
  • Ensure Company policies are adhered as it relates to the inbound inspection process.
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly drained and prepared prior to crushing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or AA Degree Preferred.
  • On the job experience – 1+ years in Auto Depollution Station
  • Forklift certified - required (expired license OK)
  • Front end loader experience - preferred
  • Sweeper (mobile equipment) experience - preferred
  • Ability to lift ore move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Experience working on automobiles a plus
  • Ability to problem solve, mechanical aptitude, ability to communicate verbally with management.
