The Role:
As the Talent Acquisition lead, you will own and deliver end to end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of white collar and blue collar roles, supporting business leaders to meet both professional and frontline workforce needs.
You’ll apply proactive sourcing strategies, manage high-volume and specialist hiring requirements, and play a key role in strengthening recruitment operations, candidate engagement, and Sims’ position as an employer of choice across all levels of the business.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Deliver full end-to-end recruitment across both white collar and blue collar roles, partnering with leaders across corporate, operational, and site-based teams to meet diverse workforce needs.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to provide guidance on best practice recruitment processes that drive efficiency and deliver a positive candidate experience.
- Analyse recruitment data and market insights to support hiring decisions, measure performance outcomes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver recruitment training and coaching for hiring managers to build capability and embed consistent hiring practices across the business.
- Lead talent acquisition and employer branding initiatives in partnership with HR and Marketing to strengthen Sims’ employer value proposition and build sustainable talent pipelines.
About you:
- Proven Talent Acquisition experience across both white collar and blue collar recruitment.
- Strong experience partnering with hiring managers and building effective external talent networks.
- Hands on end to end recruitment experience across diverse role portfolios, with strengths in sourcing, stakeholder management, and delivery.
- Proficient in TA platforms and sourcing channels, including Seek and LinkedIn, with ATS experience preferred (SuccessFactors highly regarded).
- Strong analytical capability, with experience using recruitment metrics and insights to improve hiring outcomes and process performance.
