We are looking for a safety-minded individual to join our Gladstone yard as Machine Operator. This opportunity will provide very quick professional growth opportunities for the successful candidate.

Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will safely operate machinery to help with the efficient processing of scrap metal.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Co-ordinating work in a team environment or working individually under general supervision.
• Being responsible for assuring the quality of your own work.
• Excavator operations
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Separating materials
• Liaising with customers

Essential Criteria:

• Attention to detail – This role will be working with metals, requiring the position to be able to identify and separate material.
• A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training to diversify your skills.
• Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work in Team environment but also unsupervised. 

• Forklift license and Excavator license (minimum 12T)

Desirable criteria:

• Previous Material Handler’s experience highly regarded.
• Previous scrap metal work experience.
• Previous leadership experience highly regarded.
