Our Brooklyn, Victoria yard is growing! Join our afternoon shift (3pm–11pm) as a hands-on operator, with the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities.
Reporting to the Yard Manager, you’ll safely operate machinery such as excavators, forklifts, loaders, and skid steers to sort, grade, and process metals.

 

This is a hands-on role where you’ll also assist with general yard activities and help ensure our operations run efficiently and safely.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Load and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers
  • Operate plant equipment including material handlers, forklifts, loaders, and excavators (where licensed)
  • Grade, sort, and manage metals to meet operational and quality standards
  • Maintain site compliance with environmental guidelines and OH&S policies
  • Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Support afternoon shift operations with leadership and initiative
  • Cleaning and preparing our main production plant each day to ensure it’s ready for operation.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience operating forklift – essential
  • Excavator, loader, skid steer, or other plant tickets – advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Hands-on approach and willingness to be flexible
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent attendance
  • Positive, can-do attitude and openness to training to expand skills
